The inverter greatly increases the voltage. I am scared to have a high voltage cable in the neck. I am worried that with repeated motion you could fray the cable and it may arc to the metal neck and cause a a safety hazard. I appreciate you taking the time to offer assistance.JBerghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07483779529359769527noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1356325415325804255.post-55645407496368644502011-01-09T21:02:23.604-05:002011-01-09T21:02:23.604-05:00Hello, congratulations for the blog!

I have actually tried to ...I appreciate the input. I have actually tried to use a 3M capacitive touch screen in the past. I ended up returning it because of the weight. It was a heavy piece of glass. It also didn't natively support multitouch. The real reason I ended up returning it was the cost. The 20.1" panel and controller was over $350 and I couldn't justify the cost. For that mod I ended up going with a surface acoustic wave touchscreen. This was (for single point accuracy) the best touch screen I've ever used.<br />I think eventually lightweight capacitive films that can be applied on top of LCD glass will be available. But as the technology keeps improving, I don't want to invest too much money in the touchscreen.JBerghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07483779529359769527noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1356325415325804255.post-52643086101685215672011-01-09T07:29:34.104-05:002011-01-09T07:29:34.104-05:00Or maybe this one for the 20''?
